Pergolas and outdoor living

A pergola configurator for manufacturers and their dealers

Dealect is a 3D pergola configurator with a live price on every click. Dealers open the pergola designer, build the model, and place the order. It all runs on a dealer portal that you manage.

The platform

Your buyer starts it. Your team closes it.

Six modules pass one project down the line, from the first click on your site to a build your shop can make.

  1. 3D configurator

The buyer builds the product and sees it in 3D.

  2. Live pricing

The total updates with each option.

  3. Branded quote

A PDF with renderings and a QR code that opens the 3D model.

  4. Dealer portal

Dealers quote with your catalog, your rules, their prices.

  5. All deals in one place

Every quote, order, and activity in one live feed.

  6. Approve and send to production

One click sends the confirmed order with the full spec.

Where it runs

It fits the way you already sell

No new storefront and nothing to install. The same configurator drops into the places your buyers already are.

Embedded on your own website

It runs on your site and on your partners' sites from one catalog. Nothing installs, and nobody maintains a second copy.

Sold where the buyer stands

It opens in a browser: a showroom laptop, a phone in the yard, or the screen at your counter.

  • Website
  • Showroom
  • Home visit
  • Job site

Checked in AR, at real size

The buyer stands the finished build in their own garden and walks around it before anyone signs.

Sent under their branding

Every PDF goes out in the seller's own name, with their logo on it, never ours.

Connected to your tools

Approved orders can land in your ERP and the lead behind them in your CRM. Nothing is exported or re-keyed.

In plain words

What is a pergola configurator?

What sits behind a configured pergola: the option catalog, the build rules and the price list feeding one priced quote for an attached pergola.

A pergola configurator is software that lets a buyer or a dealer assemble a pergola on screen and returns the price of that exact build as they go. The structure, the louvered roof, the colors and the extras all price themselves as they are chosen. Attached or freestanding, the span, a fixed or motorized roof, RAL colors, zip screens, sensors and lighting: every choice moves the total, and the rules underneath allow only combinations the factory can build. It replaces the price sheet, the callback and the re-drawn quote with three things: a priced 3D design, a branded quote, and a production-ready spec. The buyer can stand the finished build in their own garden in AR, at real size, before anyone signs. All of it runs from the manufacturer's one catalog, in a browser, with nothing installed.

What it replaces

The price sheet and the callback

A buyer wants a bioclimatic pergola at 4 by 6 meters, anthracite frame, screens on two sides. Today that question goes to the factory and comes back as a number on Thursday. The configurator answers while the buyer watches.

What it outputs

A priced design, a branded quote, a build spec

The spec production works from: sizes, RAL codes, louver direction, screen sides. Nothing is retyped between the design and the shop.

The wider category is the product configurator, and the engine underneath this one is our 3D product configurator running your catalog.

The problem

A pergola quote still waits for somebody at the factory.

The dealer measures the patio, sketches the build and sends it in. The price comes back when someone at head office has time to work it out, and the buyer has been waiting since Tuesday. You feel it too: every request waits on you, and the whole network moves only as fast as you can answer.

The configuration

Every option your buyers can configure

Attached or freestanding, the span, the roof, the finish, the extras. The rules underneath refuse the builds you cannot make.

Structure and span options on a freestanding cedar pergola, with a span that needs a mid post flagged by the rules.

Structure and span

The buyer picks attached to the house or freestanding, then sets the dimensions. Spans, post counts and slopes are parametric. A run too long for one beam gets a mid post, and a size your frame cannot carry is blocked outright.

A motorized louvered roof turning in the pergola visualizer while the option strip sets the blade angle.

The louvered roof

The roof can be fixed blades or motorized louvers, with rotation and drainage down the posts. A bioclimatic roof prices differently from a fabric canopy, and the pergola visualizer turns the blades on screen as the buyer sets the angle.

RAL color, LED lighting, zip screens and a wind sensor priced as options on one pergola.

Finish and comfort

Buyers pick RAL colors on the frame and the blades, LED lighting in the beams, zip screens per side, wind and rain sensors, and the motorization that drives them. Each option carries its own rule: a sensor needs a motor to talk to, and a screen needs a side that can take one.

The rest of your outdoor living line works the same way. The same rules that run the pergola configurator run a gazebo configurator. What we sell as gazebo design software is this engine with a different roof on it. The engine itself is proven: it already runs our fence and shed configurators.

How it works

From configuration to quote

Four moves, and not one of them waits for the factory.

  1. Step 01 · Configure

Step 1: Assemble the pergola in 3D

The dealer or the buyer sets the structure, the span, the roof and the finish in the browser. The 3D view redraws as they go, so the thing they approve is the thing that gets built.

  2. Step 02 · Price

Step 2: Watch the price follow every click

Every option carries a price from your catalog. The dealer sees the total with their own margin applied and never sees your cost, so the number on screen is one they can sell at.

The same terrace pergola seen twice: the factory view keeps the cost private, the dealer view shows the price with their margin.
  3. Step 03 · Quote

Step 3: Send the branded PDF quote in minutes

The configuration becomes a branded PDF carrying the 3D view, the option list, the sizes and the total, in the dealer's own name. It goes out while the buyer is still at the table.

A branded PDF quote for a wall mounted cantilever pergola, with the design, the options and the total on one sheet.
  4. Step 04 · Order

Step 4: Hand production a complete order

The accepted quote becomes an order with the same spec attached, down to the louver direction and the screen sides. Nothing is retyped between the configurator and the shop floor, so nothing is mistyped either.

The dealer network

One pergola configurator, every dealer quoting.

Pergola brands already send every design a homeowner makes to a dealer. Almost none of them give that dealer anything to quote it with.

One pergola configurator serving five dealers: one catalog at the centre, each dealer quoting the same pergola at their own margin.

You keep one catalog and one rule set. Every dealer opens the same 3D pergola configurator on that catalog, so a pergola priced in Ohio is built the way a pergola priced in Texas is built. Each dealer sees your prices with their margin applied, and your cost never appears on their screen.

Every design a buyer makes, on your site or theirs, becomes a lead in one system, tied to the dealer who owns it. You can see who works their leads and who sits on them. The portal each dealer signs into is our B2B customer portal.

In August 2026 we read all eight pages ranking in the US for pergola configurator. Not one speaks to the manufacturer about a dealer network.

The planner

The pergola planner your buyers already use, on your site

Homeowners plan a pergola long before they call anyone. They open a free pergola planner, drag a structure over a rectangle of yard, print the drawing and bring it to you. The design belongs to somebody else, nobody priced it, and half of it you do not build.

Put the planner on your own site instead. It gives the buyer the same easy first hour, with your catalog underneath: the sizes you make, the roofs you sell, your dealers' prices. A buyer who plans there arrives with a build you can quote in one pass. That is the difference between a pergola design program that returns a picture and pergola planner software that returns a lead. Most of what buyers call pergola design software stops at the picture.

Pergolas rarely sell alone, and the rest of an outdoor living line runs on the same engine. If the same buyer wants the kitchen under the roof, our outdoor kitchen design software configures the islands and the appliances. If the yard needs closing in, our fence estimating software counts the runs and the gates. The whole platform is on the Dealect homepage.

We do not set the span, footing, and attachment rules a permitted structure has to satisfy. Those come from the residential code in force on that lot, and the trade body that reads it for the people who build decks and outdoor structures is the North American Deck and Railing Association. A configurator holds those limits in the rule set, so what the buyer drags on screen is a structure you can actually stand up.

What changes

What does a configurator take out of a pergola quote?

Counts, not outcomes. These are facts about the software, measured on one custom pergola from first click to production.

One custom pergola, quoted through the configurator · counts, not claims
  • 4 moves from first click to a production order

Configure, price, quote, order. The buyer is present for three of them.

  • 0 trips to the factory to get a price

The rules and the price list are already open in the dealer's browser.

  • 1 place the spec is entered

The configuration becomes the quote and then the order. Nothing is keyed twice.

What we will not put a number on

Close rates and conversion depend on your prices, your dealers and your market, so we do not publish a figure for yours. Bring one pergola family and your price list to a 30-minute call and we will time the quote in front of you.

FAQ

Pergola configurator questions

Yes. The buyer points a phone at the patio and stands the configured pergola on it in AR, at real size, then walks around it. It is the same build the dealer priced, so what they approve outside is what the quote covers. There is a photo version too, which drops the render onto a picture of the house.

Yes. The price is attached to the configuration the whole way through, so quoting is not a separate job done afterwards. When the buyer is happy, the dealer sends it. A branded PDF quote goes out with the 3D view, the option list, the sizes and the total, at the dealer's own margin.

Yes. It runs on your site and on each dealer's site from one catalog, so a buyer configuring on a dealer page is already seeing that dealer's prices. Nothing installs and nobody maintains a second copy. A dealer signs in and the 3D pergola configurator is there, carrying your rules.

As far as your catalog goes, all of them. Attached or freestanding, the dimensions and spans, a fixed or motorized louvered roof. RAL colors on the frame and the blades, LED lighting, zip screens per side, wind and rain sensors, and the motorization behind them. Your rules decide which combinations are legal, so a buyer never configures a pergola you cannot build.

It is a subscription, priced per manufacturer rather than per seat. What you pay follows how deep your product line is and how many dealers quote from it, not how many pergolas you sell, and access costs your network nothing. The model is on our pricing page, and after the demo we scope it to your catalog and send you one number. A first line, one pergola family with its options and rules, is measured in weeks rather than months.

One catalog, one rule set, and a separate view of it for every dealer. You maintain the pergolas, the options and the price list once. Each dealer quotes from that with their own margin and their own branding, and every lead they raise stays under their name. Change a price on Monday and the network is quoting the new one on Monday.
