The three words are not interchangeable. CPQ is the whole configure, price, quote flow. A product configurator is the front end of the C, the screen where the build gets chosen. Quoting software is the Q on its own, and often has no configuration rules behind it at all. A CPQ configurator is the configurator with the rules and the prices attached, which is the part that makes the number on the quote true.
